We have nearly finished writing our own story of ‘The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig’. Take a look at our amazing story so far. Miss Harvey chooses a child’s sentence each day to add to our display wall.

Our Sparkling Start

We had a fantastic morning yesterday. We had to choose which materials we were going to use to build a house to keep Bump the monkey safe. Once we had chosen the materials we had to build our structure. Our house had to be sturdy and waterproof. We worked in groups and we each had a role. Some of us were builders, project managers, inspectors and designers.

Class 5 had a wonderful time this afternoon. During Literacy on Monday the children were curious about the light in a lighthouse, so today they created a circuit to make the lightbulb light up. Look at the huge smiles on their faces!

Thoroughly Thrilling Tuesday

Thank you to everyone who came to our Thoroughly Thrilling Tuesday. We carried out an experiment to find out which material was the most suitable for a life jacket. Some of the materials floated and some of the materials sank. We found out that balloons (because of the air inside them), corks and sponges were the best materials for a life jacket. We found out that rocks were the least suitable and sank because they were very hard and heavy.
